The PC version of Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana will be launching on January 30, NIS America announced. Last year, Nihon Falcom’s fast-paced hack and slash JRPG – already available on PS4 and PS Vita – found itself in the center of controversy due to the game’s seemingly subpar localization work, resulting in a delay in the title’s PC release for the purpose of completely reworking its script and re-recording voice acting. Naturally, the improvements will also be patched into the console versions come January 30.

Those purchasing the Steam release will also be eligible to grab some free DLC until February 6: this includes a digital soundtrack sampler, a digital artbook, as well as some in-game items and costumes.
