The latest main entry in the long-running JRPG series debuted on consoles in late 2016 and will be making the jump to PC with a host of improvements and additions. For starters, the Windows Edition will include a new dungeon, several pieces of DLC, all the season pass content (Episode Gladiolus, Episode Prompto, Episode Igni, Multiplayer Expansion: Comrades) new bosses, gear, and even a first-person mode. Additionally, once thirteen royal arms are collected, a “more action-oriented mode” for the Armiger is unlocked, and the in-game boat will now work as a controllable vehicle. The PC edition also supports mods and 4K/8K resolutions, as well as HDR10. For those unsure about whether or not their PCs can run the game, a benchmark program will also be made available on February 1.

If you’d prefer to experience the adventure on consoles, you’ll be able to pick up Final Fantasy XV: Royal Edition for Xbox One and PS4 for $49.99 – this edition includes all the bonus content detailed above. For existing owners of the console versions, the so-called Royal Pack will be available at $19.99, which adds the new content of the Royal Edition to the base game.
