Developer Achara Studios have announced REPO MAN, a first-person RPG/immersive sim scheduled to launch sometime next year. In the game, players take on the role of Arthur Newstead, a debt collector who ends up finding himself in an unusual predicament when he himself has to pay off a massive debt left behind by his dead father, and is forced to return to his hometown of San Alma. The project, set in a world inspired by Art Nouveau where humans and the descendants of mythological creatures co-exist, will feature stealth, combat and open world exploration in addition to its heavy focus on storytelling and moral choices, allowing players to decide if they wish to be ruthless repo men hated by all, or merciful debt collectors who take pity on the poor.
REPO MAN will be released on PC via Steam in 2023. PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S are also planned, albeit these will launch at a later date. Here’s a trailer:
