Sega has officially unveiled Yakuza 7, the latest entry in its long-running crime drama series. The new installment comes with a bit of a twist, though: instead of its predecessors’ beat’em up-like combat, Yakuza 7 will utilize a traditional RPG-inspired turn-based battle system where you have multiple people in your party and have to select various on-screen commands in order to fight. In terms of its narrative, the game parts with long-time series protagonist Kazuma Kiryu and introduces a brand-new main character called Ichiban Kasuga, whose adventures will unfold in the city of Yokohama. There’s also a trailer, which you can check out below:

Yakuza 7 will be launching on January 16, 2020 for PlayStation 4 in Japan. A western release is also set for the same year, though no exact date has been given just yet.
