Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition, the completely remastered Switch release of Monolith Soft’s legendary Wii JRPG, will be out on May 29, Nintendo announced. The Definitive Edition will feature improved graphics and character models compared to the original, as well as a better menu system, remastered music, and a never-before-seen epilogue story titled Xenoblade Chronicles: Future Connected. The game’s also getting a special edition in the US called Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Works Set, which will include a 250-page art book. The UK, meanwhile, is getting a different collector’s edition: the so-called Collector’s Set will include a steelbook, a vinyl record, a music download code, a poster and an art book.

Xenoblade Chronicles tells the story of Shulk, a young man who comes into the possession of the Monado, a fabled sword that grants him the power to see into the future. Equipped with this newfound ability, Shulk sets out on a journey to stop the invasion of the Mechon, a group of mechanical beings that threaten his homeland.
