If you have yet to get around to trying inXile’s official sequel to 1988’s RPG Wasteland, you’re in luck – the game, released in 2014 with a Director’s Cut following it in 2015, is available to play for free until June 12. Wasteland 2 comes as a sequel to the first post-apocalyptic RPG – the game that went on to serve as an inspiration for the Fallout franchise. In many ways, the game follows in the footsteps of the Fallout franchise before Bethesda’s takeover, preferring the isometric, turn-based approach of the first two Fallout titles.

One final piece of good news: the game is 50% off during the period of the free weekend, so if playing it manages to whet your appetite for more, this is a good enough chance to pick it up.
