WW1 survival horror game Conscript gets a new gameplay trailer and a new demo for Steam Next Fest

CONSCRIPTPlatform: WindowsGenre: Action, AdventureDeveloper: Jordan Mochi, Catchweight StudioPublisher: Team17Conscript, a World War 1-themed survival horror game taking inspiration from Silent Hill and Resident Evil, has a new gameplay trailer out, along with a confirmation that the project will launch later this year for both PC and consoles. If you’re not familiar with the title, Conscript is a gritty upcoming survival horror game with a focus on methodical gameplay, resource management and intricate puzzle solving, which, understandably, should very much be familiar territory for fans of the genre – except the story takes place in 1916, during the First World War’s Battle of Verdun, as players take on the role of a French soldier looking for his missing brother in the trenches. Now, as someone who’s already tried a demo version of Conscript several years ago, I recall it being a sufficiently solid homage to that bygone era of survival horror, so if you haven’t given it a go yet, you’ll be happy to hear that it’s getting a new demo during this summer’s Steam Next Fest, which is set to kick off on June 10.
