Set in a vast, procedurally generated open world, the game will have you build up your very own Viking settlement, allowing you to build various structures, organize which tasks are handled by which villagers, establish supply lines and – indeed – even fight relentless undead monstrosities that threaten your prosperity. It’s also worth noting that you’ll be doing all this from a third-person viewpoint: controlling the actual leader of the tribe, you’ll have to live in and explore the world alongside your fellow Vikings, as opposed to simply lording over them from a bird’s-eye perspective. Additionally, you’ll be able to play either alone or with a group of four players in online co-op.
In the closed beta, players will have access to the complete Tier 1 and Tier 2 Technology Trees when building up their villages, as well as crafting, wolf taming, exploration and much more. Here’s a trailer:
