The new, upcoming title from Supergiant Games of Bastion and Transistor fame is called Pyre, and will be a party-based RPG merging stunning visuals with atmospheric storytelling and gameplay, much like their previous offerings. In the game, you take on the role of a group of exiles as they embark upon a journey to learn more about a mysterious Rite – a competition said to absolve exiles of their sins. As recently announced by Supergiant, the game will also feature a multiplayer mode, although the focus remains on the single player experience. More specifically, the multiplayer itself means local multiplayer in this case –
whether or not Supergiant will implement an online feature remains to be determined.
Pyre is scheduled to be released sometime in 2017 for PC and PS4.
