Ubisoft has announced that in the wake of the massive fire that devastated the Notre-Dame in Paris earlier this week, they’d be donating €500,000 to help with the cathedral’s restoration and reconstruction efforts. That’s not all, though – the company has also added that for the duration of one week, they’ll be giving away the PC version of Assassin’s Creed: Unity for free via Uplay. The game, originally released in 2014, stars Arno Dorian, a young Frenchman who – following the death of his father – ends up getting involved with the Parisian Brotherhood of Assassins. Much of the storyline takes place in 18th century Paris during the French Revolution, and as such, the cathedral of Notre-Dame is indeed one of the many landscapes the player can climb and explore during their journey.
