January’s slowly but surely drawing to a close, but don’t worry, we’ve got your back in terms of curating promising indie game releases to watch out for – so, on that note, here’s what the third week of January has to offer!
Turnbound
A stylish auto-battler where you’re trying to outsmart a haunted board game in order to gain your freedom. Inventory management is key as you strategically place down item, weapon and trinket tiles on a grid-based board, hoping to create killer combinations and synergies.

MIO: Memories in Orbit
A metroidvania with a lovely art style, MIO: Memories in Orbit follows the adventures of the android MIO aboard the Vessel, a huge, futuristic ark overtaken by rogue machines.

Blightstone
A turn-based strategy game with roguelike elements, revolving around a quest to destroy the titular Blightstone in order to defeat a demon overlord and save the world. Gameplay-wise, combat takes place on a battlefield offering free movement (and no grid-based restrictions), where players are expected to use the environment and even the weather itself to their advantage.

Duel Corp.
A souls-inspired RPG with an adorably retro-style aesthetic and an MMO-esque feel where you explore a vast open world either solo or with 3 co-op buddies at your side, discovering the secrets of a land where everyone is immortal, and where the dead have risen as soulless beings – some view this new state of affairs as a curse, others… not so much.

LORT
An action roguelite with co-op for up to 8 players. Which is a lot of players, and you know what that means: chaos and shenanigans, with endless possibilities for insanity. Want to be a wizard with a gun? Sure. You can be a wizard with a gun.

TR-49
Inspired by titles like The Roottrees are Dead and The Return of the Obra Dinn, among others, TR-49 is s narrative deduction game where you uncover the secrets of a mysterious World War II computer packed full of books, letters and journals spanning fifty years. The man on the other end of the speaker wants you to find a stolen book, but he only knows the title – the rest is for you to uncover.
