Resident Evil 2 (2019)Platform: PC, PS4, XBox OneGenre: Survival HorrorDeveloper: CapcomPublisher: CapcomRelease: 01/25/2019Obviously, one of the most noticeable changes made to Resident Evil 2’s remake is the shift to an over-the-shoulder view – this, in itself, is not a brand-new addition, mind you, as the franchise has mostly worked this way ever since Resident Evil 4 first introduced it back in 2005. Having said that, the original RE2 used the classic “fixed camera angles” approach back in 1998, so it should come as no surprise that the community would produce a mod to re-inject a bit of tradition into the remake. You can see it in action with two videos – one for Claire and another for Leon – although you can’t download it, as it’s currently just a cool little concept for nostalgic fans, not an actual, finished project. Still, it does look fairly impressive:

If you’d rather see the nightmarish adventure directly through the eyes of its protagonists, though, there is a first-person mod available that you can download from Github right now. If you’re wondering exactly how it looks, there’s a video for it, too:
