When someone mentions “Resident Evil” and “movie” in the same sentence, most people probably think about the… not-so-loved series of live actions films starring Milla Jovovich. Thing is, a number of CG movies were also produced over the years, featuring characters more familiar to fans of the original game series. The first such venture was Resident Evil: Degeneration in 2008, which starred Leon and Claire and took place between Resident Evil 4 and 5. The follow-up, called Resident Evil: Damnation, once again introduced Leon as a main character in a storyline set between the fifth and sixth games in the main series.

Last year, it was revealed that a third CG film would also be produced, and recently, we’ve learned that its title is going to be Resident Evil: Vendetta. The movie will once again feature Leon (alongside Chris Redfield and Rebecca Chambers) – furthermore, through a partnership with Ducati, the veteran zombie-slaying protagonist will be seen riding on of their latest motorcycles in the movie’s climactic scene.

Resident Evil: Vendetta is scheduled to be released in 2017.
