Monkey Island creator Ron Gilbert’s upcoming 2D point and click adventure, Thimbleweed Park, has come back into the limelight with a brand new trailer focusing on one of its main characters, Delores. The game works with a unique assortment of characters, from a clown unable to take off his makeup to a ghost who doesn’t remember how he died. Indeed, you can expect ghosts, and this new trailer doesn’t shy away from the supernatural, either – all in all, Thimbleweed Park is shaping up to be a good way to relive the adventure game glory days.

This is not all, though. You actually have a chance to make it into the game yourself. Well, sort of. And not you, but your writing. The gist of it is that when you venture into Thimbleweed Park’s library, you’ll have a chance to inspect tons of books – and all these books require some kind of flavor text. This is where you come in, by writing two pages worth of text and sending it in to the devs. If you meet all the criteria, you may end up seeing your creation in-game – speaking of criteria, do check them out on the game’s official page over here. And get to writing!

Thimbleweed Park is scheduled to be released in January of 2017 for PC, Mac, Linux, iOS, Android, and Xbox One.
