You may remember how we reported on the news of an upcoming Wii U entry in the Japanese survival horror series Fatal Frame – well, just recently, Koei Tecmo has revealed the title in question, and it’s called Zero: Nuregarasu no Miko (note: Zero is the Japanese title of the franchise). The game will place an emphasis on wet, damp areas and deals primarily with the fear of water. The story takes place at Mount Hikamiyama and stars a young woman called Yuuri Kozukata, who possesses the ability to see people who had been spirited away in the past and bring them back to our world. And since the game is on the Wii U, it’s most definitely going to make creative use of the console’s unique gamepad as well, which, in this case, functions as your trusty camera, allowing you to spot things that may otherwise be invisible to the naked eye. Yes, that means spooky ghosts.

Zero: Nuregarasu no Miko will be released in Japan on September 27, which is surprisingly early, but we’re not complaining. However, the bad news is that we haven’t heard anything about a potential western localization. Still, we’re hopeful.
