The Astronauts, the team behind mystery adventure game The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, are back with something quite different: a dark fantasy FPS called Witchfire. Unfortunately for us, that’s more or less all they could reveal about the project, although we do know that it’s going to be released at least on PC. In a way, Witchfire may be a return to the creators’ roots, as the three co-owners of The Astronauts’ happened to also co-own People Can Fly, the company responsible for the gory, adrenaline-packed FPS Painkiller, as well as Bulletstorm.
Either way, the game does look gorgeous based on what we’ve seen so far. Here’s its first teaser:
