If you thought The Mortuary Assistant, with its combination of actual mortuary work and terrifying demon scares, needed to be even creepier... you’re in luck, because the game’s Definitive Edition is going to do just that. Arriving later this summer – on August 2 – as a free update to everyone who already owns the base game on PC or Switch, the Definitive Edition is going to include a so-called endless embalming mode that does exactly what it says on the tin: it lets you embalm an unlimited amount of bodies. There will also be new bodies to embalm, naturally, along with brand-new scares and haunting events to catch you off-guard and potentially make you scream your lungs out, as well as additional bits of lore to discover. Surprisingly, in addition to some performance improvements and bugfixes, this new version will also include a Valentine’s Day-themed seasonal event, should you decide to return to the game in February.
