Although until a few days ago, it seemed a little unlikely that SWERY’s The Good Life would meet its Kickstarter funding goal, a last-minute rush thankfully ended up pushing the campaign over the finish line. Granted, there’s still some time left before the campaign officially closes, but it looks like the creator of Deadly Premonition will be able to tell the tale of Rainy Woods as he intended. And precisely because there’s still some more time left on the counter, the team decided to announce a rather ambitious stretch goal: if they reach $800,000, The Good Life will be getting a Nintendo Switch port. SWERY and the team admit they’re not entirely sure this new goal will be met, but went on to assure fans that any extra funds they receive will go towards adding new content to the game. There’s also a personal thank you video from SWERY himself in a later update.

In the meantime, if you’d like to try The Good Life for yourself, the free prototype demo is still available for download over here.
