The Bard’s Tale 4 adds Chris Avellone and Colin McComb as stretch goals

Chris Avellone, the professional stretch goal (earning this highly-respected title during the Kickstarter campaign of Tides of Numenera), might be lending his services to The Bard’s Tale 4 as well, should the campaign reach a certain amount. And that amount is 1.9 million dollars. At that point, Avellone will hop onboard the Bard’s Tale boat to design a terrifying dungeon for you to experience – the place is called the Cairn of Horrors, so we’re confident it’s going to be a lovely place for future bards to explore.

This is not all, though: if inXile can have one Torment designer, why not go for two? That’s right, at 1.7 million dollars, Torment: Tides of Numenera creative lead Colin McComb will also join the team of The Bard’s Tale 4 in order to design the Realm of the Elves. The campaign’s latest update also reveals that this stretch goal comes with an additional wilderness area called the Wilds of Lestras.

Whether or not these goals will be met is another question – still, we wish the team all the luck in the world. The Bard’s Tale 4 is – at the timing writing – sitting at over 1.3 million dollars with 11 days left on its counter, so we’re staying hopeful.
