It has been known for quite a while that Telltale, the minds behind successful adventure games The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us, have been working hard on a video game adaptation of HBO’s Game of Thrones, based on George R.R. Martin’s massively popular A Song of Ice and Fire novel series. So far, however, we haven’t seen much of the actual game – emphasis on “so far”. Just recently, Telltale have released their first teaser showcasing the in-game world of Game of Thrones, narrated by none other than Lena Headey, the actress portraying Cersei Lannister in the show.

According to Telltale, the story of the adaptation will take place after the end of Season 3 of the show and will end sometime before the beginning of the upcoming Season 5. Players will control five members of House Forrester, with major locales (King’s Landing, the Wall) and characters from the show and novels also making appearances. And to answer the question you’re most likely eager to ask: yes, this means that certain actors from the show will indeed be reprising their roles in Telltale’s handling of the series.

The game will be released in Telltale’s episodic format on a large selection of platforms, which, more specifically, means: PS3/4, Xbox 360/One, PC, Man and iOS devices. We have no word on a specific release date just yet.
