Tangledeep, the turn-based roguelike dungeon crawler, is up on Kickstarter, and is doing quite well. Well enough to have reached its funding goal and be on its way to tackle stretch goals, at any rate. Aesthetically inspired by 16-bit gems such as Secret of Mana and Chrono Trigger, Tangledeep will feature procedurally generated dungeons and a flexible job system that lets you mix and match abilities to your liking. Other than its base soundtrack, Tangledeep is also set to feature Hiroki Kikuta (Secret of Mana, Seiken Densetsu 3) as a guest composer; additionally, if the $21,000 streth goal is met, renowned composer Grant Kirkhope (Banjo-Kazooie and many more) will be coming on board as well.

Tangledeep’s Kickstarter campaign still has roughly two weeks left to go, and has amassed almost $20,000 at the time of writing. The game will be arriving to PC, OSX and Linux with an estimated release date of 2017 December.
