Hidetaka Suehiro, also known in gaming circles as Swery or simply as „the man behind Deadly Premonition” is back with a new game called The Good Life, but you probably already knew that. Following a failed Fig campaign, the project is now back in full force on Kickstarter with a lowered funding goal and plenty of information to share about what the game has to offer.

The Good Life introduces itself as a daily life simulator with a twist, sprinkled with a generous amount of Swery’s trademark bizarreness. Naomi, a journalist from the big city, visits the sleepy town of Rainy Woods in order to find a way to pay off her debt – the strange part, however, is that the residents of the town, Naomi included, turn into cats and dogs at night. There’s also a murder case to solve and some shocking twists to uncover, as one would expect from a Swery title. The project has already collected a respectable amount of money at the time of writing, but it’s still far off from reaching its goal – the good news, though, is that there’s plenty of time for it to do that, as the campaign is set to conclude on May 5.

If everything goes according to plan, the game will be released in November 2019 for PC and PS4.
