The Good Life, Deadly Premonition creator Swery65’s latest project, was announced as a game revolving around townspeople who turn into cats at night. Well, not anymore – or rather, that’s no longer the full picture. It has now been revealed that The Good Life would be getting two different versions: one where people – including the protagonist – turn into cats, and another where they turn into dogs. Now, your choice between the feline and canine versions does matter somewhat – dogs and cats will have separate abilities, they’ll find different items, and even interact with the townspeople in different ways. Additionally, the dog and cat versions of the game will be fully compatible with each other in multiplayer – whether you bark or meow, it makes no difference: you’ll be able to visit another player’s town online and cause some good-natured mischief.

The Good Life is currently collecting funds on Fig, and has 10 days left to reach its goal of $1,500,000.
