Developer The Chinese Room (of Dear Esther, Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs and Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture fame) has released a new trailer/mini-documentary for their upcoming psychological horror game Still Wakes the Deep, and this time, it’s all about world-building. For those not familiar with the project, The Chinese Room’s aim with Still Wakes the Deep is continue the legacy of their previous titles and deliver an immersive, terrifying narrative experience – according to the story, you’re a lone worker aboard an isolated oil rig in Scotland during the 1970s, but something has gone terribly wrong, and as the structure falls apart, you’re forced to confront an unknown, otherworldly horror while also trying to save your crew.
