Lightbulb Crew and Focus Home Interactive have released a brand-new trailer for upcoming tactical RPG Othercide. The video in question starts by explaining the core pillars of the game’s combat mechanics, detailing the importance of the so-called Dynamic Timeline System, which lays out every character’s actions on a horizontal line, and encourages the creative manipulation of the timeline with purposefully delayed moves, timed reactions and powerful combos. The trailer then goes on to shed some light on the game’s progression system, noting how each individual unit’s personality can be influenced by their combat style, leading to them developing different traits. Characters can further be customized through skill upgrades – to put it simply, every skill can be modified to be more effective, do more damage or even include a special secondary effect. Either way, I’ll just let the trailer speak for itself:

Othercide will be launching on July 28 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and on Nintendo Switch later this summer.
