Pixel Arc Studios have taken to Kickstarter in order to amass funds for a classic Metroidvania-style action-platformer by the name of Bushiden. The game operates with a simple enough premise: you play as the ninja Reylee on a quest to find your missing sister and defeat the evil Gaoh. You’ll have to slice and dice your way through seven distinct levels (in any order) and fight a variety of bosses, earning unique abilities after defeating each one – these abilities will then allow you to revisit earlier stages and reach areas that were previously inaccessible. It is also worth noting that the entirety of Bushiden’s soundtrack is being composed by the incredibly talented Michael “Garoad” Kelly of VA-11 HALL-A fame. The project’s Kickstarter campaign is shooting for an initial goal of $70,000 with a planned August 2020 launch window.

Bushiden will be initially released for PC and PlayStation 4 only, but the developers are hoping to bring the game to additional platforms post-launch.
