Bartlow’s Dread Machine, a steampunk twin-stick shooter from developers Beep Games and Tribetoy, will be launching this July on Steam Early Access, the two companies have revealed. The game immediately throws you into a rather troublesome situation: Teddy Roosevelt, the one and only, has sadly been kidnapped, and it’s your mission to rescue him. During your journey, you’ll get to explore a truly old school world with a charming steampunk flair (modeled after early 20th century America) and fight all sorts of adversaries, from tiny tin zombies to massive tentacled abominations – and you can do all that with a friend at your side, too, as the game also supports a local cooperative mode.
The Steam Early Access launch of Bartlow’s Dread Machine in July will be followed by a full release sometime this fall for both PC and Xbox One.
