Blizzard’s hugely popular sci-fi RTS, StarCraft 2, will soon offer paid mods on the Arcade (a place where you can find a plethora of custom games created by the community), with a share of the sales going directly to the creators. The paid service – which will be introduced in the upcoming Patch 4.3 – kicks off with two promising creations: ARK Star from Daniel “Pirate” Altman, and Direct Strike from Tya.

ARK Star, priced at $4.99, is a tactical turn-based RPG featuring an elite team of Protoss Templars on a quest to find the titular weapon of the ARK Star. Meanwhile, Direct Strike is a tug of war-esque mod where you build units and send them out in waves to lay siege to the enemy base. Although its already existing free version will, of course, remain free, upgrading to the premium edition gives you access to four new game modes and cosmetics. Much like ARK Star, Direct Strike will also be available for $4.99
