After roughly 2 years in Early Access, developer Blackbird Interactive and publisher Focus Entertainment will be launching the full version of spaceship-salvaging sim Hardspace: Shipbreaker on May 24. Focusing on the efforts of a determined blue-collar worker in the employment of the so-called LYNX Corporation, Hardspace: Shipbreaker allows you to hop into zero-g and explore, cut and salvage a variety of derelict spaceships drifting about in the void of outer space. Naturally, with enough effort, and a variety tools and gear at your disposal, it’s only a matter of time until you salvage enough to be able to repay your crippling debt – just try not to die in the process. Abandoned spaceships aren’t exactly free of safety hazards, you see. It’s also worth noting that the 1.0 update of the game will add a variety of features, including – most importantly – the third and final campaign act of the main storyline.
