Izanagi Games and ACQUIRE have announced that their intriguing, soul-shifting action-adventure game AMEDAMA will be releasing in early 2024 instead of 2023, as originally scheduled. If you haven’t been following the project, allow us to remind you – AMEDAMA begins with a family tragedy in 19th century Japan, near the end of the Edo period: protagonist Yushin is attacked and killed in front of his sister, ending his life... but not quite. With his spirit remaining, and capable of possessing anything and everyone it comes into contact with, Yushin embarks on an otherworldly quest to find his sister before his soul fades away for good. Now, possessing a variety of characters also means you get to “inherit” their skills, abilities and fighting styles and use it to your advantage – and indeed you’ll have to, as you only have seven days at your disposal.
