Developer FluidFury Interactive has announced Quantic River, a cyberpunk hack & slash action game set in a dystopian world. Although not much is known about the project’s storyline, the developers have already given us a rather promising glimpse into the flashy, non-stop action we can expect in this world of cybernetics and deadly katana blades. Players will take control of a warrior with cybernetic enhancements and a trusty sword, and will be expected to master the game’s intricate melee combat in order to prevail, relying on well-timed slashes, counter-attacks and parries, among other things. Despite the focus on action, Quantic River will also offer exploration and the opportunity to go about things a different way – for example, by hacking doors, disabling enemy turrets and taking a more strategic approach.
