Slavic folklore-inspired action-adventure BLACKTAIL launches this winter, gets new trailer

Focus Entertainment and THE PARASIGHT have announced a winter release window for BLACKTAIL, a first-person action-adventure game about the legend of Baba Yaga. In the game, players take control of a young girl called Yaga after she’s expelled from her village due to being accused of witchcraft, and must navigate a fairy tale-esque world inspired by Slavic folklore, all the while relying on their wits and trusty bow to get by. It’s a game we previewed last year, finding it to be immensely promising with its fantastical locales, interesting alignment system and rich atmosphere. I wrote:

“In just under 90 minutes, it managed to give me satisfying archery gameplay combined with supernatural powers, a cool crafting/upgrading mechanic and even a “good vs. evil” alignment system, to say nothing of the intriguing storyline, which I’m quite eager to see more of. First impressions are important, and BLACKTAIL has given me quite a solid one indeed.”

BLACKTAIL will be available on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
