Developer Morteshka and publisher HypeTrain Digital have announced a not-too-distant August 10 launch date for deck-building dark fantasy RPG Black Book on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Switch. The game, which takes heavy inspiration from Slavic legends and folklore, stars a young sorceress by the name of Vasilisa on a supernatural quest to resurrect her beloved by tapping into the forbidden power of the titular Black Book. The game features card-based (as well as turn-based) battles against all sorts of spirits and monstrosities, various Slavic demons to recruit into your service, and seven chapters of dark, folklore-fueled story to experience. Here’s a recent trailer to whet your appetite:

Additionally, for those hoping to try an introductory slice of the adventure for free, Black Book: Prologue is also available for download, offering a standalone opening to Vasilisa’s journey.
