A couple of years ago, we reported on a truly ambitious total conversion mod for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim called Enderal, a project that took things to a whole new level by creating what is essentially a completely separate RPG experience running on the engine of Bethesda’s popular game. Normally, you would have to download the mod and then go through the usual installation process such things entail, but soon enough, things will become a touch more convenient, as Enderal has been confirmed to be coming to Steam. It’s still going to be completely free, but you do need to have a Steam copy of Skyrim installed to make it work – and to be specific, it has to be vanilla Skyrim, not the Special Edition. Enderal is available in both English and German (both versions feature voice acting) and should offer anywhere between 30 to 100 hours of play time, according to its creators. The Steam version will be available later this year, though no specific date has been given just yet.

If you don’t feel like waiting for that, you can always just grab the original version from Nexus Mods, ModDB or the official site of the project.
