Developer Smallthing Studios and publisher Leonardo Interactive have announced Simon the Sorcerer Origins, a canonical prequel to the classic point & click adventure game series that started all the way back in the early 1990s. Taking place a few weeks before the events of the first game, Origins will introduce players to a young and rebellious Simon whose adventures will have life-changing consequences – meanwhile, the classic, Simon-esque mixture of puzzles and snarky, occasionally fourth-wall-breaking comedy will also return, hopefully creating something that is new but nonetheless familiar to fans of the franchise.
