CONSCRIPT, the gritty, retro-style survival horror game from Catchweight Studio (run by solo developer Jordan Mochi), is out now. Very clearly inspired by survival horror greats such as the earlier Silent Hill and Resident Evil installments, the game introduces an interesting twist with its setting: it takes place in 1916, during the First World War, and stars a lone French soldier in search of his brother. During their nightmarish adventures, players will have to conserve ammo, explore the haunted trenches of the war and survive using WW1 weaponry as they immerse themselves in a world brought to life with deliciously pixelated visuals that lovingly harken back to games from the 1990s. If that sounds like something you’d be interested in, do have a look at the launch trailer below:

CONSCRIPT is available on PC (Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store), as well as PlayStation, Xbox and Switch.
