Developer Smartmelon Games will be releasing its sci-fi narrative game Lightracer Spark on April 12, came a recent announcement from the team. Putting players in the role of a higher being referred to as the Amender, the game revolves around trying to prevent an apocalyptic event by artificially “interfering” with certain civilizations – at times you’d recruit promising scientists to help their work, at others, you might wage war against a rival faction or even invest in promising tech to help the economy grow. After trying its demo version earlier this year, I had an overall positive opinion of the title. I wrote:
“Don’t be too intimidated if you’re normally not into strategy/management sims – Lightracer Spark is advertised as a sci-fi narrative game, so if you’re at all intrigued by its larger-than-life premise and want to read about some cool sci-fi stuff, I say give the demo a shot and see if its unique premise and atmosphere draw you in. I, for one, enjoyed it quite a bit.”
Lightracer Spark will be available on PC via Steam.
