Time Treker, the futuristic bullet heaven game from developer Fuse Game, has left Early Access and launched its full version – the 1.0 edition adds a new character, new weapons and monsters, as well as two additional bosses. An action-packed title that has you customize your mech with a variety of weapons and upgrades in order to defeat legions of monsters, Time Treker and its difficulty felt somewhat daunting to me when I first tried it earlier this year. However, once I overcame those initial hurdles, I found myself warming up to the game quite a bit.
In my review of the Early Access version, I wrote:
“Upgrading really is the name of the game here, as you’re very much expected to wield several fully decked-out and modified weapons to even stand a chance at completing later missions – if you don’t go in prepared, or end up drawing the short end of the stick when it comes to getting your gifts from RNG Santa Claus, you’re going to have a bad time, as the randomness of the roguelike elements can lead to frequent frustrations and failed runs. My advice: just keep at it and with some luck, you’ll have fun.”
Time Treker is available on Steam.
