Blade Assault, the pixel art action-roguelite that launched in Early Access in June of 2021, is gearing up for a full-fledged release on January 17, developer Team Suneat and publisher NEOWIZ have announced. Taking place in a ravaged world where deadly mutants rule the outer wilds, society is divided into two distinct groups: the have-nots who are forced to take shelter from the mutants in the so-called Undercity, and a corrupt ruling class living in the rich and flourishing sky city of Esperanza. Players assume the role of resistance fighters and take up arms to defeat the corrupt Esparanzan government through any means necessary – and as you might imagine, this involves hacking, slashing, shooting and quite a bit of flashy platforming.

Compared to the Early Access version, the full release will include additional chapters and a new core system; meanwhile, the team already has plans to add even more content to the game in future patches, including brand-new characters, weapons and bosses.
