Nomina Games has published a developer commentary video for its upcoming retro-style RPG, The Revenant Prince. Largely inspired by 8-bit and 16-bit classics of the genre, the game stars Troy, a young prince capable of manipulating time who goes off on an adventure to save the world and defeat evil. The new video briefly touches upon some of the more intriguing elements of the battle system, such as the ability to freeze time or spare your enemies instead of massacring them all – although the latter is also very much an option, should you feel particularly bloodthirsty. Actions have consequences, though, and you’ll have to think twice about which decisions to make, as your choices and their outcomes are all irreversible.

The Revenant Prince will be launching later this year on PC. A playable demo is also available, which can be downloaded from Steam and the project’s official website.
