Developer Starward Industries has announced The Invincible, a sci-fi thriller inspired in large part by the works of Polish author Stanislaw Lem. The Invincible invites you into an alternate, retro-future reality where space exploration is the norm, but where the Cold War never ended and no digital revolution ever took place, meaning you’ll still be using primarily analogue gear. Stepping into the role of a scientist, players will find themselves on the hostile planet of Regis III and must rescue their missing crew – a task not nearly as straightforward as it may sound. Some places in the universe are better left untouched, the game tells us – and Regis III, apparently, just so happens to be one such place.
The Invincible will be coming to PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X in 2021.
