Capcom, in a fairly unsurprising announcement – considering the resounding success of the Resident Evil HD remaster – has revealed that an HD remaster version for Resident Evil Zero is in the works. The title, originally released on GameCube all the way back in 2002, works as a prequel story to the first Resident Evil game, and stars Rebecca Chambers (a side character from RE1), as well as an escaped fugitive called Billy Coen. While the game does play and look an awful lot like the GameCube remake of the first game, it changed things up a bit, allowing the player to control both characters in order to solve puzzles that required co-operation.

We don’t know much about the remaster at present other than the fact that it’s supposedly coming out sometime early next year for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox One and Xbox 360.
