So as we all probably know by now, Resident Evil: Revelations 2 is happening, and it’s happening on so many platforms there’s no way you’ll miss out on it. And now, we know a bit more about the title other than a cover art and a list of platforms. First of all, probably the biggest piece of news at hand is the return of Claire Redfield as a playable main character, now accompanied by one Moira Burton, daughter of Barry Burton from the very first installment. Revelations 2 is set sometime between the events of Resident Evil 5 and 6, and – much like its predecessor – will attempt to inject that classic survival horror feel back into the franchise that certain recent installments have severely been lacking. According to the premise, Claire and Moira – after being abducted – wake up on a remote island facility, where, I would assume, all sorts of creepy crawlies lurk. We also got to know that the main campaign will allow for co-op multiplayer this time around (good news for anyone that missed it from the first installment), and that a new type of enemy, called the Afflicted, will also be making an appearance. As it turns out, stealth and takedowns will also be an option in the game, especially when dealing with the Afflicted.

Resident Evil: Revelations 2 is set to be released in early 2015 for a plethora of platforms, namely PC, PS3-4, Xbox One and the 360.
