Gravelord, the boomer shooter FPS inspired by oldschool classics of the genre, will be debuting via Early Access on January 22, came a recent announcement from developer Fatbot Games, the creators of the excellent Vaporum: Lockdown. Starring a no-nonsense protagonist in the form of Queedo the Gravedigger, the game will have players embark on a dangerous journey to avenge their father and kick plenty of monster butt along the way. Featuring a wide array of deadly, upgradable weapons, collectable Tarot cards that grant you various bonuses, and a wisecracking protagonist straight from the 90s, it’s a game that wastes no time when it comes to throwing you into the thick of things – and sometimes, that’s exactly what I want. What’s more, Gravelord is also set to include an integrated level editor so players can create their own maps, although it’s worth noting that this will only be released at a later date, along with the full version of the game. In the meantime, here’s a trailer:

Those interested in the game can also try a playable demo via Steam.
