Decarnation, the haunting psychological horror/adventure game from developer Atelier QDB, will be launching on May 31. What’s more, the game will also feature a good amount of music – a total of 10 tracks – from Akira Yamaoka, the famed composer of the Silent Hill franchise. Inspired by the works of Satoshi Kon (Perfect Blue) and David Lynch (Mulholland Drive), Decarnation tells the story of a young dancer named Gloria who has to fight her inner demons while facing various struggles in her life; by mixing a variety of symbolic puzzles with classic survival horror elements and a genuinely haunting visual style, the game – I think we can all agree – is certainly shaping up to something truly unique.
