Anime-style adventure game Tokyo Stories has been pushed back from its original release window of 2023, came a recent announcement from developer Drecom. According to producer Yuki Ikeda’s latest post on the matter, Tokyo Stories was originally envisioned as a much smaller project, but as time went on, the team decided they wanted to expand the title and implement more ideas, leading to the aforementioned delay. Exactly when the project will launch remains a mystery, but it’s probably safe to assume it’s going to be a while before we see the finished product. For those not familiar with it, Tokyo Stories was announced back in 2022 as a mystery adventure game about a girl who visits Tokyo in search of her lost friend – it promised an intriguing storyline and plenty of atmosphere, which you can get a brief taste of via this older trailer:
