The team of Nude Maker, mostly consisting of former employees of Human Entertainment (responsible for Clock Tower), has recently revealed their upcoming horror game, codenamed Project Scissors at the moment, intent on delivering the very same thing that made Clock Tower so popular in the first place. At the helm as director is Hifumi Kouno, designer and director of the original two Clock Tower games, with Masahiro Ito, the creature designer for the Silent Hill series creating the game’s monstrosities. The game itself will take place on a cruise liner plagued by a series of mysterious murders.
“When conceiving the idea for a new horror game, I focused on staying true to the essence of what I created in Clock Tower, which was the edge-of-the-seat suspense and fear of an unknown.”, Kouno remarked. “This is my first foray into the indie scene, but the nature of the horror genre in its purest form is about overcoming obstacles such as limited budget and time with passion and talent. I’m willing to push myself to the limit, and I’m excited and ready for this challenge.”
You’ll also be quite pleased to hear about Takashi Shimizu’s involvement in the project, a gentleman who is most well-known as the director of the terrifying Ju-On movies, as well as their Hollywood counterparts, titled The Grudge. Shimizu is going to create a live-action trailer for Project Scissors in order to offer a quick glimpse of the terror that will await us in the game.
Project Scissors is scheduled to be released on PS Vita, Android and iOS.
