Developers IzanagiGames and ACQUIRE Corp. have announced AMEDAMA, a 2.5D side-scrolling action-adventure game with a unique twist. Set in 19th century Japan, the game begins when Yushin, the unfortunate protagonist of the story, gets tragically killed in front of his sister’s eyes; although his spirit remains, his sister, Yui, is kidnapped – with only seven days left before his soul departs the realm of the living for good, Yushin must now possess any able body he can find to save Yui. Through the ability to possess bodies, players will have access to a wide variety of weapons and fighting styles, as well as different opportunities for unfolding the mystery of the main plot during the seven days available to them.
