Developer Ino Kinwen and publisher Astrolabe Games have announced Rusty Winter, a pixel art side-scrolling adventure game inspired by “hardboiled detective stories and urban legends”. Taking place in the city of Ge’shan in late 2016, the game’s narrative will focus on a peculiar missing person’s case that eventually leads into some paranormal mysteries and the myth of the so-called Land Beneath. Apparently, ancient beings known as the Anunnaki once visited our planet, leaving behind a relic of some sorts in the frozen wastes of the north – which might sound far-fetched at first, but I have a suspicion it will play a key role in the story as you continue your investigation. Whatever the case may be, I, for one, will be curious to find out where that investigation leads. Here’s a trailer:

Rusty Winter will be coming to PC via Steam, although no release date has been unveiled as of yet.
