Developer Ice-Pick Lodge’s first-person narrative RPG Pathologic is getting a third game – what’s more, the recently unveiled Pathologic 3 is spicing things up with the addition of a time travel element. The game stars Daniil Dankovsky, a doctor from the capital who travels to a small town tormented by a deadly plague, and has 12 days to save it. In order to stop the epidemic, players will need to explore the town, talk to its residents and uncover its many mysteries – or travel to the future to see how certain events would unfold, then correct their mistakes in the past. Yup, time travel. Naturally, since you’re a doctor, you’ll also have to make a great variety of choices, like enacting curfews, introducing quarantines and working towards vaccinating the populace – remember, your rules and decisions may earn you the hatred of the locals, but sometimes, I suppose you’ll just have to do what needs to be done for the greater good.
